RS232 Serial Board

MTI part #81103, RS232 Serial Interface Adapter, is used to adapt MTI data channels to an RS232 interface. The primary application for this device is for serial interface to fire alarm equipment or closed circuit television equipment. There are, however, an unlimited number of applications for the RS232 serial interface adapter. The serial clock generator is located on the circuit board. This clock generator generates clock rates for baud rates of 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, and 9600. MTI data channel terminations are identical to the standard MTI processor boards described under part #81114 and #81035.MTI processor, part #81034/S, is used for control of the serial interface adapter. It should be noted that this is a standard MTI processor which utilizes a Motorola MC68705C8 processor. The processor contains all RAM and EPROM necessary for system operation. The operating baud rate of the device is jumper selectable with the jumper positions on the circuit board. The RS232 connector is a standard 9 pin D subminiature connector with standard pin out. The connections for this unit are standard connections for a device termination.
