Data Loop Opto Coupler

The 81052 opto coupler provides asynchronous communication
between processors. Using opto couplers on all data which
is transferred between control centers greatly enhances
lightning protection. Due to the fact that the optically
coupled units have a 7500 volt electrical isolation between
control centers allows for ground separation of the supply
voltages. In addition, the 81052 provides asynchronous communication
between the control centers. Therefore, each control center is
allowed to operate on a locally generated clock and provides
for independent operation of each control center. The 81052
optical isolator provides for complete electrical isolation
with asynchronous data transfer.
